The Iberostar Costa Dorada is a luxury beachfront resort consisting of nine 3-story buildings surrounded by lush tropical vegetation. Each of the 516 air-conditioned rooms features a balcony, and either two doubles or one king bed.  Located directly on the long sandy beach of Costa Dorada, it is a 5-minute drive from Puerto Plata and a 3-minute drive from Playa Dorada. Transfer time from the Puerto Plata airport is about 30 minutes.

The resort is composed of nine 3-story buildings surrounded by extensive tropical gardens. Open-air lobby with seating areas and bar, main restaurant for buffets (show cooking in the evening), 3 specialty restaurants, 1 restaurant near the beach, and 4 bars. Other facilities include shops, boutiques, and a discotheque. Pool area with a separate children's pool and terrace. Sun loungers, parasols and towels by the pool and on the beach are included.

Sports and fitness included: aerobics, exercises, water polo, table tennis, archery, tennis court (flood light approx. US$ 3 per hour), fitness room, Turkish bath, 1 hour per person and day of the following activities (subject to availability): windsurfing, kayaks and sailing. Merengue lesson, entertainment throughout the day and in the evening with sports competitions, shows, dances evenings with live music.

El Mercado Restaurant - This main restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffets in an open-air setting and features Italian, Dominican, and other international themes nightly.
El Rodizio Restaurant - This dinner house specializes in Brazilian-style skewered meats prepared right at your table. Sumptuous appetizers and dessert buffets complement the restaurant's delicious main courses.
La Hacienda Restaurant -serves a la carte Mexican specialties dinners until midnight, then late-night dinners of burgers, pizza, and fast food through the early morning.
El Bohio Restaurant - serves tropical fare a la carte, including pork loin with pineapple as well as mango and grilled grouper, in a casual open-air setting.
Bars & Lounges - Lounge by the flamingo pond at La Fuente lobby bar and admire the exotic birds. Kindle romance with a drink at La Plaza. Take a break from sandcastle construction and down a tropical drink at the Beach Bar, or dance the night away to disco music at the lively Route 66.
