Why Use a Travel Agent?

Travel Agent

With so many options to book your all inclusive vacation (or any vacation for that matter) why use a travel agent?

Contrary to popular belief, you will save money by using a travel agent, not to mention your precious time.  Many believe the urban myth that exisits out there that if you purchase your vacation package online you are cutting out the "middle man" (travel agent) and saving money because there is no fee or commission involved.  Guess what?  When you book yourself online you are paying a commission and a booking fee (something a travel agent does not charge).  Most online booking systems will charge you $20 or more per person for a "booking fee."  You find this out at the very end when you are ready to enter your credit card.  Now for the commission part - the commission is figured into the price from the travel supplier upfront, and even if you book direct with the travel supplier you will be paying that commission.

A travel agent also has unpublished and discounted prices at their fingertips to save you money.  By working with many suppliers, a good travel agent will research your vacation to find you the very best price.

A travel agent is also very  knowledgeable about what they sell.  This takes the "guess work" out of the equation for you.  How many times have you tried to research resorts only to find that each resort  website makes them look like they are 5 star and claim to satisfy your every vacation desire?  A travel agent knows that there is no "one size fits all" resort.  Each resort caters to a different clientele.  Knowing this, a travel agent will ask you questions about your travel needs and desires and suggest resorts that fit your needs and desires.  Then the travel agent will research their suppliers (which package  your vacation together - air, transfers, taxes, tips, resort, activities) and find the very best price for you!

You will also receive customer service by booking with a travel agent.  Have a question, pick up the phone and speak to the same person who booked your vacation.  Want suggestions about what to do at your destination, ask your travel agent.  Have a problem with the airline or resort - your travel agent will handle this for you and get results quickly.

Customers service, knowledge and great pricing are the reasons you should use a travel agent for your next vacation.

Best Vacations

2008 is the year and now is the time to visit the Caribbean and the Mexico!   The U.S. dollar is at it's weakest against the Euro and other foreign currencies. This means that the best deals are now in Mexico and the Caribbean.

For U.S. Citizens the best deals are in the Caribbean and Mexico for 2008. Flights are plentiful, new resorts are being built in the Caribbean and Mexico at a record pace and costs are still reasonable.

Because of the weakened value of the Dollar against the Euro, the costs for vacations to Europe are 20% to 30% higher than they were in 2007.

Some of the best deals in the Caribbean are in the Dominican Republic and the Riviera Maya area of Mexico, south of Cancun where you have the beautiful turquoise blue water and soft powder white sand beaches and fabulous warm weather.
