Sandals Whitehouse After spending 3 nights at Sandals Whitehouse on a Travel Agent information trip all I can say is "wow, I want to come back here for at least a week with my husband."
The architecture is of a European Village, and you can stroll an expansive Italian piazza reminiscent of St. Mark's square in Venice... and be surrounded by the sophistication of France, the passion of Italy, and the charm of Holland with restaurants, duty free shops, and magnificent formal gardens bordering an endless stretch of pristine beach.
The first night I spent in a One Bedroom Penthouse Honeymoon Butler Suite. This is the highest room category offered. A separate bedroom and sitting area with an expansive bathroom complete with a double jacuzzi. A butler greeted me upon check in and walked me to my room. As I was very hungry, he also escorted me to the upscale restaurant "Guiseppe's" featuring Italian cuisine. I had a delightful dish of scallops, shrimp and mussles on top of a seasoned risoto. It was magnificent.
The next two nights I spent in a French Deluxe Beachfront Patio room, the lowest room category. The room was spacious and beautiful. The difference was no Bulter or Concierge service, separate living area, or expansive balcony. Still, there was nothing to complain about, even though having Butler service, if only for a night, can spoil you!
The service was excellent, from the Butler Suite, to the Deluxe Room, to the servers in the restaurant, to the clerks in the shops, to the bartenders, to the grounds keepers. Everyone went out of their way to make me feel welcome and pampered.
This is a very romantic resort (and I was there with other travel agents), and I can't wait to come back someday with my husband....in a butler suite (I want it all!). |
